Parent Participation

Our parents play an important part in their child’s learning and development. We aim for parents to contribute as fully as possible to the life of our centre. There are a variety of opportunities where parents can become involved in the nursery and their child's learning.

We promote parental involvement in our self evaluation and actively encourage our parents/carers to ask each other questions and fill out questionnaires on subjects such as the curriculum, Quality of environment and Care standards etc

The centre also invites parents to attend various events such as:
Coffee Mornings
Christmas Fayre

How you can be involved in the life of our centre?
Being involved within our service does not necessarily mean being involved in a committee there are lots of other ways to become involved such as:
Reading a story
Gardening
Baking
Arts and Crafts
Dance / drama

Throughout the year our children participate in a variety of educational outings which are linked to their learning experiences. Our parents help make this possible by playing an important role and accompanying staff and children on outings.

We hold both informal and formal parent evenings over the year and all parents and carers are encouraged to attend these. These provide a great opportunity for you and your family to come along and speak with your child’s key worker.
